F.A.Qs
How old do you have to be to join?
Can boys play?
What about training and games?
How much does it cost?
Belcoma welcomes all players from the age of 5. Our 5 to 7 year old boys and girls participate in the NetSetGo program (training with no games). From 7 years old our youngest players take the court and go from there! In the past we've had adults play well into their 70's. We support players of all ages and abilities and will always place a player in a team which best suits their skills.
Of course! Belcoma is a proud supporter of all netballers. Boys can play from the age of 5 (NetSetGo) through until they're 15 years old. From the age of 15+ boys have to move to an adult mixed competition (unfortunately we have no control over that rule).
All Belcoma teams train at the Belgrave South Recreation Reserve.
Training days may change season to season depending on court/player availability. Training for 2025 Winter season is held on Tuesdays at the following times:
-
NetSetGo: 4:45-5:45
-
Mods, U11 & U13: 4:30-5:30
-
U15 & U18: 5:30-6:30
All games are played at Knox Regional Netball Centre on Saturdays during the school term (no games school holidays or public holidays).
All players must have current Netball Victoria registration paid in full prior to taking the court:
-
Seniors: $99 (aged 17+)
-
Juniors: $70 (ages 7-17)
-
 NetSetGo: $99 (ages 5-7)
Belcoma Club fees are separate to Netball Victoria registration. A payment plan for club fees can be set up at time of registration if needed.
-
Winter: $175
-
Spring: $90
-
NetSetGo: $70 (new participant, includes club merch pack)
-
NetSetGO: $50 (returning participant)
What's NetSetGo?
NetSetGo is Netball Victoria's three-tiered development program for our youngest netballers. We are excited to launch NetSetGo in 2025 as a Netball Vic endorsed centre and welcome kids aged 5-7 to the club. It is a non competetive weekly program where participants develop their social & motor skills, make friends, learn netball basics and grow their confidence. When NetSetGo kids turn 7, participation creates a smooth transition to Modified U11 and taking the court or the first time.
The program runs according to school term rather than the netball season.

To celebrate the long-awaited launch of NetSetGo at Belcoma, we're offering no club fees for Term 1 only. $20 club merch packs will be available for optional purchase for our Term 1 participants.
My child plays but I don't / I'm not quite up to playing anymore - is there a role for me?
Absolutely! It takes a village to run a netball club. We have a range of roles for non-playing members such as coaching, umpiring, team managing & general committee. We welcome new voices, opinions & experiences across the board. There's a place for everyone at Belcoma.
